Under the managed pathway, Forster Houseboat Hire handles all operations — bookings, maintenance, guest services and compliance. You receive income from the rental pool and use your Lifestyle Credits for personal stays.

What is a Lifestyle Credit?

A Lifestyle Credit equals one day of personal use on Coolongolook. Syndicate owners receive 50 per year. Any credits not used personally can be released into the managed rental pool to generate income.

Can I relocate the vessel?

Full ownership gives you the option to relocate Coolongolook to a mooring of your choice and use it privately or commercially. Syndicate ownership operates from its current base in Forster NSW.

What does commercial ownership involve?

Commercial ownership means operating Coolongolook as a hire vessel — either through Forster Houseboat Hire's established booking platform, or independently using the vessel's existing Certificate of Survey to establish your own business.

How much income can the vessel generate?

A Certificate of Survey is issued by AMSA (Australian Maritime Safety Authority) and confirms the vessel meets all safety and operational standards for commercial hire use. Coolongolook already holds this certificate, which saves significant time and cost for any commercial operator.
